RAD-E Enterprise Access Server
Interlink Networks RAD-E Enterprise Access Server is the key to controlling and managing user access to enterprise networks. RAD-E is an Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA) server that provides one centralized solution for controlling access, whether it be remote access via dial-in, VPN, or firewall, or local access via wireless LAN, or any combination.
RAD-E is a fully compliant implementation of the widely used RADIUS (Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service) protocols and performs three vital functions for access control:
Authentication - validates any remote or WLAN user's username and password against a central database or directory to ensure the validity of that user's credentials.
Authorization - for each new user, RAD-E provisions the appropriate policy such as IP address, session limit, or tunnel type, for what that user is authorized to do based on a wide range of criteria including point of access, time, and specific user or group credentials.
Accounting - logs all remote and WLAN connections, including user names and connection duration, for tracking and billing.
